I remember sophomore year of high school, some girl in my english class asked me if I ever considered straightening my hair because my wavy hair was ugly. So I started straightening my hair everyday because I thought my wave hair was ugly.
Then I realized that people used heat and got treatments to get hair like mine. So I said fuck you and stopped straightening my hair.
Now my hair is healthy as can be, wavy and curly as hell and lovely.
I hate when people complain about working, especially when you’re young.
Seriously, do people not realize that your employer is taking a chance on you? They don’t have to hire you, they don’t have to pay you, and there are tons of people out there who are more qualified than you who were rejected. If that isn’t humbling, than think about about the people who can’t get jobs because you have one? By someone hiring you, they don’t hire the other people who applied for that same position, so they have to continue their search. Feel lucky you’re employed and not part of the 8.1% of Americans who aren’t.
Also, you’re being paid to do what you’re doing so why complain about it?
I complain about my feet hurting all of the time, but from someone who was on a job hunt for years, I could never complain about actually working.
