I went to my appointment at the Navy Recruiter today, finally.
I filled out an enlistment form and took a practice ASVAB. I did well. Well actually I don’t know because I broke the computer BUT still. I guess it takes a Lee to break a computer, haha.
With my practice ASVAB score and my SAT scores from years past, the recruiter said I’d be in a heartbeat.
But, I’m a little bit above the weight, so now all I have to do is lose a little weight and I’ll be in.
My parents are being oddly supportive of my consideration of enlisting. My dad was even like “Hey, on Tuesday we can go talk to a recruiter.”
That was not expected.

I know this.
But, it’s not like you go to a recruiter, sign up and are automatically whisked away on a boat and called a Sailor. I’m perfectly aware that at this moment in time I’m not in a state to go into the Navy, but that’s what basic is for.
I have seriously gotten 4 asks in the last day about me joining the Navy. I never said I was going to enlist, I just said I was considering it as an option in the future.
I’m contemplating enlisting in the Navy if I can’t get a job and back in school by my 20th birthday.
