I remember sophomore year of high school, some girl in my english class asked me if I ever considered straightening my hair because my wavy hair was ugly. So I started straightening my hair everyday because I thought my wave hair was ugly.

Then I realized that people used heat and got treatments to get hair like mine.  So I said fuck you and stopped straightening my hair.

Now my hair is healthy as can be, wavy and curly as hell and lovely.

My friend, who’s a cosmetology student, really wants to do my hair. She’s been begging me, so I gave in. She said this color would be amazing with my skin tone and eye color:

Holy Ginger/Strawberry blonde/way lighter than my dark tresses!

So, those of you who are fake gingers, what’s the best dye for this and explain the process? I’ve dyed it red before, but never that light. I’m at a level 5 right now and that color has to be at least a level 8 or so, so of course bleach is needed. But, will the hair dye itself be enough to get me that light, or does it need to bleached then dyed? I look at dyes today in Wal Mart but the lightest red doesn’t show a depiction of what mine would look like, so I’m assuming I’d have to be bleached. I have to buy the product(s), but she’ll do the rest, so I’d like to know the specifics.

Thanks guys!

I’m thinking of coloring my hair this instead of ombre.
What do you think?
I said I’d never ever go blonde, but this is a gorgeous ashy blonde/light brown hybrid.
